The location is great. It is about 6 tram stops south of Zuid station, which has a regular service to Schiphol Airport, just one stop away, There are frequent tram services: 1 terminates at Zuid, but the second continues all the way to the centre of Amsterdam, passing through the museum quarter. The Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam is located 1 tram stop south of Zuid so the location of the hotel is great for anyone visiting it. Breakfast is a typical cold continental one: the croissants were excellent and the coffee machines provided decent coffee too. There was always enough seating (even when a coach party all came down to breakfast at nearly the same time one day). Another excellent feature of the hotel is the self-service lockers that are provided: this enabled one to check-out and spend a full day sightseeing in Amsterdam before leaving for the airport.

If you are looking for a clean comfortable and easily accessible place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of central amsterdam then I would highly recommend this place. The nearest metro Kronenburg is less than 5 minutes by walk with easy connections to both the centre and the airport. Both less than 20-25 mins away. There is a shopping centre less than 10 mins by walk where you can get a nice selection of places to eat at very reasonable prices. Most are open until 10 pm. Breakfast in the hotel was adequate. Staff speak very good english. We were provided extra pillows and blankets within minutes of requesting. There is a 24 hour self service coffee and snack bar which also stocks some basic travel necessities. . The location is in a very nice quiet neighbourhood and we felt quite safe even when we were out late

Great place for commuting into Amsterdam city center - tram is just 2-minute walk away. Rooms are not fancy, because they are not supposed to. They are, in fact, very minimalist. Everything was clean, the shower was working properly, shower head has even 3 different modes, which surprise surprise work as they are supposed to. Mattress was comfortable and duvet was pretty large, so I, as a 2 meteres tall guy, did not have problems with my feet sticking out of it. Do not know about breakfast because did not buy one.

The rooms were exactly what you would expect from an Ibis Budget. Clean, bed, tv, own bathroom. There was a small shop located in the lobby if you wanted to purchase any drinks or snacks anytime during your stay. The hotel next door had a bar and restaurant located on the 6th floor, with stairs leading to a sun deck. Great place for a couple of drinks in the evening. Located right next to a tram stop. Only takes about 15 mins to get into the city center. Tickets were very cheap. We paid 9 euro for a 24 hour travel pass.

Really comfortable room, very quiet and very good value for money for my one night stay. Not far from a tram stop (which had a lift so handy for those with mobility issues), so it was easy to get in and out of the city and of course good connections to get to other parts of the city for my concert. Would use again as so handy for everything. The self service little shop was very handy late at night for snacks which I needed.
